Cold and Flu season
The cold and flu season is already upon us. I’m a little late with this information this year. I wanted to share an herbal remedy that helped me get over my sickness and be able to breathe. I had a cold in my chest that affected my lungs. I had trouble breathing and sleeping during this time. I had to instruct my husband to help me with this remedy.
First you take a quarter of an onion. Any type of onion will do. Just dice it up in large chunks.
Place it in a non metal oven safe pan. I used my pyrex pie plate.
Set the oven for 225 degrees and set a timer for 20 minutes.
The onion is ready to put on your chest once it cools down and has a slightly slimly feel to it.
Place the large chunks of onion on your chest right where your lungs should be. Use plastic wrap to secure the onion on to your chest and then wrap an ace bandage. This should be able to stay on your chest all night while you sleep. During my last illness, I had this onion remedy on during the day while napping as well. The more you use it the faster you can heal.
The reason why the onion works is it releases sulfur into the body. The sulfur helps the body add more oxygen to the blood.
This one simple remedy helped me stay home to recover and not risk going to the doctors office or hospital to expose myself to other possible illnesses.
